Professor Tsouna Lecture Series on Plato's Republic at the Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris

Professor Tsouna will be delivering a lecture series on Plato's Republic at the Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris. The dates and subjects are as follows: 

Monday, 13 May, 5:00-7:00 pm:  'Part I:  Contextualising Republic 8-9:  the structure, content, and characters of the story of civic and human decline.  Part Two:  Timocracy, Oligarchy, and the corresponding human types'.
 
Wednesday, 15 May, 10:00-12 noon:  'Is there such a thing as defective goodness?'
 
Wednesday, 22 May, 5:00 - 7:00 pm:   'Republic 8 on democracy, freedom, and the rule of law'.   
 
Thursday, 23 May, 5:00 - 7:00 pm.:  'Republic 8-9 on tyranny and the tyrant.  Epilogue:  the literary genre of the story of decline and Plato's philosophical objectives'.
