When I'm not doing philosophy, I dabble in computer programming and web design. I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, and playing with my dog.

My dissertation is on the philosophy of color. I argue against anti-realist theories of color and revisionist theories of color that deny much of our pre-theoretic intuition about what color is like. I believe realist theories fall into three broad categories: relational, physicalist, and non-reductive theories. Of these, thorough consideration of the pros and cons strongly suggests that we ought to be non-reductivists.

Aside from color, I am interested in the metaphysics of number, action and agency, Kant, applied ethics, and feminist epistemology.
